Who is "Derpy Hooves"? Why does she have so many names?

Derpy Hooves is a background pony from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
More info can be found here.

If you would like to see a lovely panel by the talented Alison featured at my local Fiesta Equestria, check that out here. It has a comprehensive view of Derpy's history up until 2013.

She has so many names because of a lack of an official name as well as controversy over her name that sparked during the episode "The Last Roundup" (original scene here, edited version followed soon after). Some may be offended by the term "Derpy", however, that is the name I choose. If you want to call her something else, go for it.

Other things to note about Derpy are that she often appears as a "mailmare" and has a love for muffins. She's also frequently paired with Dinky, Time Turner, and Carrot Top, Screwball, and Screwloose. Her best friends tend to be Bon Bon/ Sweetie Drops, Berry Punch, and Lyra Heartstrings.

What is your view on "Save Derpy"?
I've mentioned this already, but Save Derpy is referring to Hasbro's censoring of "Last Roundup", in which Derpy was later removed from the series almost entirely.
My opinion on the subject is a nuetral one. I more than anyone think Hasbro's decision to censor was wrong, but I understand why they did it.
My own brother is mentally handicapped and my mother has worked with those that are. My best friend growing up was mentally deficient, but he is one of the most creative and bravest people I know.
Again, Hasbro's decision was wrong. The majority of the fandom thinks that. Some took it too far (death threats, foul language), others were passionate and wrote equally as passionate letters, petitions, ect., and another third just didn't care and that's okay, too.
However, we must understand that Hasbro is a company. They need to make money. If someone complains, they need to side with an issue. The backlash for keeping the episode the way it was would've been worse. They know Bronies are loyal fans and will continue to support them. In turn, they gave us everything this site is about. But if they had sided with us, many of angry family members who did feel offended would've ganged up on them, leading to bad publicity, maybe in the most extreme circumstances, getting the show cancelled. They could've left the censored episode out of any official release, but they gave it to us on the first season DVD. This is similar to the wonderful stance they take on their cease and desist actions. If they know about it, they will take action because otherwise lawsuits crop up. But you know what? They don't care if we still sell fan-made customs or other merchandise because in the end it makes them money, and the higher ups at Hasbro aren't about to lose their money just to please a small section of the fanbase. A real fan will understand this and appreciate what they could do. Remember, even people inside Hasbro found this sort of offensive. It wasn't just the derped eyes or the name, but even how Tabitha portrayed her seemed offensive to some. Now, we all know Tabitha was inspired by a close friend and I find that wonderful. Other things in the show like Soarin allude to real life people, too.
In conclusion, I side with Hasbro, but I also believe their decision was morally wrong.

Similar G1, G1.5, and G3 / G 3.5 ponies?
G1
Bubbles
Of the 3 I've pictured, she has the least similarity, but I love her pose. The only likeness may be the cutie mark. I believe her name is simply "Bubbles".

Tiny Bubbles (Seapony)
I would love to own this G1 seapony. I think she resembles Derpy a lot, aside the eyes/seapony thing. I may custom one of these! Oh, her name is also Tiny Bubbles.

G3
Bubblecup
This G3 pony has the most similarity to our beloved Derp, featuring a similar blue, albiet lighter, some yellow mane/tail, and then a bubbles cutie mark. A lot of people call Derpy "Bubblecup".

G4

These 3 pictures are of Lilyblossom, a G4 pony that looks similar to Derpy. When the McDonald's toy on the bottom left was released, she was kinda a poor man's Derpy. Also, her figures make easy custom bait.

What is this site for?

This site was made to help those collect Derpy merchandise. It is often exclusive and almost always sold out. I will do my best to list all variants of official merchandise, but things like fan plush and customs won't get fleshed out as much. There will still be a section, though, and an app that lets you view current Ebay listings. I will update via News if there are any Charity auctions, like a previous Ditzy Doo sketch by Lauren Faust or any new official merchandise announcements! (Oh, and maybe if some uber derped customs get posted...)

Who are you?

I'm just a Derpy fan who wanted to make a collector's site. You'll usually find me on forums as ShindoW or Fullmetalderpyhooves.

I love Derpy because like everyone, I'm socially awkward and at my job, I'm pretty clumsy.

My favorite episode of My Little Pony is probably Winter Wrap Up. It's also my favorite song from the show.

I got into the show because my wife loved it so much and made me watch it. At first I didn't get it. Even though I'm female, I grew up on male oriented shows and toys, so it was kinda wierd.

I didn't really understand Bronys until I heard someone relate it to "Disney" and then everything really clicked. It's just good animation, storytelling, characterization that features cutesy ponies.
